Full Catalog: Warranty InformationWarranty Information, Performance Assurance, and Application Limitations Performance Assurance All Command Controls Corp. cartridges are individually tested at the factory and preset to specific pressure or flow settings where indicated in this catalog. However, as the actual performance of buyers equipment cannot be reproduced in Command Controls Corp. testing laboratory, assurance of suitability of all Command Controls Corp. products in the buyers application is the responsibility of the buyer. This is typically accomplished by the manufacture of a prototype followed by a test or qualification program on the part of the buyer. Caution Command Controls Corp. manufactures a variety of cartridge valves that will fit into the same Command Controls Corp. cavity. Each cartridge is marked with a part identification number and a date code, stamped on the hex surfaces. Designers and users of Command Controls Corp. components are advised that physical interchangeability of cartridges does not necessarily mean functional interchangeability. When replacing Command Controls Corp. cartridges, users should first check with the manufacturers service literature, their local Command Controls Corp. distributor, or the Command Controls Corp. factory before making any part substitutions. Note: To avoid serious injury, the manufacturers service manual must be consulted before working on any hydraulic system. Limited Warranty Command Controls Corporation warrants its products free from defects in material, workmanship and design for a period of three (3) years [ninety (90) days for electronic items] from the product date code. O-rings and seals are specifically exempted from this warranty, due to O-ring shelf life limitations. In addition, this warranty excludes products not manufactured by Command Controls Corporation. These products include, but are not limited to, other manufacturer’s cartridge valves, controls, sensors, fittings and filters. In the event these products carry an original manufacturer’s warranty, the warranty passes through Command Controls Corporation to the original user as provided within the original manufacturer’s warranty. IN NO INSTANCE IS THERE ANY WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR USE AND COMMAND CONTROLS CORPORATION CANNOT AND DOES NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY OF ANY KIND FOR ANY OF ITS PRODUCTS THAT HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO IMPROPER INSTALLATION, “UNAUTHORIZED” MODIFICATION, IMPROPER ASSEMBLY OR USAGE OF “NON-GENUINE” COMMAND CONTROLS CORP. PARTS, IMPROPER APPLICATION, NEGLIGENCE, TAMPERING, CONTAMINATION OR ABUSE OR WHICH HAVE BEEN REPAIRED OR ALTERED OUTSIDE OF THE COMMAND CONTROLS CORPORATION FACTORY. COMMAND CONTROLS CORPORATIONS’ LIABILITY UNDER THIS WARRANTY SHALL EXTEND ONLY TO REPLACEMENT OR CORRECTION, FOB OUR FACTORY, OF ANY DEFECTIVE “GENUINE” PART OR PRODUCT DETERMINED BY INSPECTION AS NOT CONFORMING TO THIS WARRANTY. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED AND ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE RESULTING FROM USE BY AND BUYER OR USER. OUR LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE VALUE OF THE PRODUCT SOLD OR TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE “GENUINE” PART. Permission for any warranty returns must be obtained from Command Controls Corporation prior to shipment. A “Returned Goods Authorization” (RGA) reference number will be provided so as to control the returning products. This RGA number must be shown on all correspondence including the packing slips shipped with the package or box containing the returning products. No shipments will be accepted unless this RGA number is clearly identified. Ship all warranty returns, freight prepaid, and provide a complete explanation of the defect and circumstances. Upon receipt, we will inspect the products and determine our responsibility. Should we find no fault in materials, workmanship or design, the time spent to review the returned products will be subject to charges at our prevailing hourly repair rate. We will determine a cost for the time and effort spent and will advise the customer of such charges. All freight charges, both inbound and return, become the responsibility of the customer.
